Starting this business in 2007, I’ve helped people with alternative systems and opting to tutor their own child. Then, working as a volunteer within the home education community, my business lines blurred, so much so that I didn’t charge home educators until 2016.

Over the years I’ve answered the many and varied questions parents have regarding all approaches to education, and parenting. Whether I was volunteering or paid, my support has been the same, and a parent committed to help the child to be free to learn fills me with joy.

What is Home Education?

Home Education is parenting 100% all the time, and essentially can be described as not delegating the formal education portion of a child’s development to a school. What it feels like is co-parenting with a school ceases. The freedom can be liberating, and the weight of responsibility can be overwhelming. You might feel like Alice falling down a rabbit hole, passing through the looking glass. I help you to navigate how to do that successfully.

My perspective

I’m one of many who have moved from working in a school as a teacher, to opting to home educate their own children. I started home educating in 2006 and continued for 16.5 years. Being in a very diverse community of parents, and caregivers, who are choosing this approach to education is humbling. It has been the best teaching gig I’ve ever had, and it’s also been deeply satisfying to see children’s needs being met without so many of the limitations that are part of School life.

They are either volunteers or through paid services, offering the same one-on-one support I have provided for the past 10 years or so. Although I hold no liability for their services, I only recommend people with proven experience who align with how I work.

I’m taking time out to write 19 interconnected books that authentically represent our community, I have recorded advice at Summits through Fearless Homeschooling and their ALL ACCESS MEMBERSHIP.
